Path Feasibility Study For Newport & Derby Local Concerns Public Meeting

Please join us for a public meeting on Thursday August 7th, 5:30 – 7:00 at the Gateway Center, about connecting the Newport Waterfront Recreation Path (aka Bike Path) and the Beebe Spur Rail Trail. There is also a virtual Zoom option at this link.

This meeting is the first step in a study about transportation and recreation, safety, route options, and the potential for improved connections along these paths. All community members are encouraged to share your ideas. Click here for a map of the current paths.

Also, please take the Bicycle Friendly Newport Survey, open through October 5th– tell us how you feel about biking in Newport.
