Northern Border Running Club’s 4th of July – Main Street Mile – is back for 2025 taking place immediately before the Derby VT parade, on the parade route! The race is free to all ages and abilities, and we will accept race day donations to be set aside for the Derby Recreation Committee to help with community projects!

The 1-mile point-to-point course will start at the Derby Elks and finish at the North Country Union Junior High on Main Street. Runners will have the unique opportunity to run in front of the crowd of parade spectators cheering you to the finish.

PLEASE NOTE that we do not allow day-of-race sign ups due to logistics and timing, so please sign up before race morning via our website! Start time is 9:45 am and more details will be shared in the coming weeks here on Facebook, and at https://www.nbrcvt.com/main-street-mile
