Newport is the hub for all things Outdoor Rec here in the northern part of the Northeast Kingdom. If you are up for outdoor adventures – winter, mud season, spring, summer, or fall, we’re your spot!
In 2023, Newport Downtown Development partnered with ten outdoor recreation businesses and organizations to collaborate on a grant proposal to the State of Vermont’s Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation. The $200,000 grant that resulted is helping to build capacity in each of our individual organizations, and together we have now formed the Newport Outdoor Recreation Collaborative.
