Northeast Kingdom Organizing (NEKO) is excited to announce that they are hiring for a full-time Operations Director + Organizer position. NEKO is a multi-issue, member-led coalition that organizes and advocates for justice for the people and places of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. They are looking for a candidate with the courage and skills to bring deep listening, strong relationships, and NEKO’s values to the management of our day-to-day operations.
The Operations Director + Organizer will play a critical role in keeping NEKO running smoothly. Key responsibilities include:
• Managing NEKO’s finances, including tracking expenses, preparing budgets, and working with our bookkeeper and accountant.
• Handling administrative tasks like checking messages, maintaining databases, scheduling meetings, and managing documents.
• Leading NEKO’s communications, including managing website, social media, and newsletter
Supporting NEKO’s organizing campaigns through meeting facilitation, community outreach, and uplifting community leaders.
This is a full-time, salaried position offering $47,840-$54,080 annually depending on experience. They offer a flexible schedule, generous paid time off, professional development opportunities, and a 4-week paid sabbatical after 2 years.
