KickStartNEK Workshop Series for Small Business Entrepreneurs

If you are an entrepreneur who would like to take your idea to the next level or to set up your existing small business for success in the NEK, consider signing up for the ten-week course that NDD is co-sponsoring this winter with Do North (the cool co-working space in Lyndonville), the Northeastern VT Development Association (NVDA) and the VT Small Business Development Center (VTSBDC). If you live in the southern part of the NEK, there will also be a group that meets at Do North on Tuesday nights covering the same curriculum.

The group will meet at Newport’s own co-working space – The Work Commons – at 194 Main Street (above the Green Mountain Natural Foods Store) from 5:30 to 8 pm every Wednesday evening beginning February 4th and running through April 8th. The workshops will be led by a trained facilitator using the co.starter curriculum, and there will be in-person case studies with successful business owners. The cost is $150 for the entire series of ten classes. There is scholarship support available for NEK Residents who have financial need.

To learn more, visit www.donorthcoworking.com, email team@donorthcoworking.com, or apply at bit.ly/kicknek26. If you have specific questions about the Wednesday classes in Newport, reach out to Director Rick Ufford-Chase at rickuc@nddvt.org.

KickStartNEK is open to entrepreneurs at all stages and across all industries. The only requirement is having an idea that you are ready, willing and excited to explore and try to grow with help from experienced leaders and a supportive peer network.
