SUMMARY:NEKOWSA Champion of Champions Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Kingdom Games is collaborating with BrynnSwim to host this unique three-stage swim at The Clubhous. It is modeled after the popular challenge\, BLDSA’s Champion of Champions Swim in Dover Harbor\, UK. That swim’s three stages are 5\, 3 and then 1 mile. We’ve modified it with distances determined by the islands we swim to and around in Derby Bay on Lake Memphremagog. Starting and finishing each leg at The Clubhous Beach. \nWe gather at The Clubhous at 8 am for check in. We swim\, starting promptly at 9 am. \n9:00 am – 6.5 Mile Swim Around Province Island\n1:30 pm – 3.5 Mile Swim Around Bell\, Black and Cove Islands\n4:00 pm – 2 Mile Swim “to Bell and back.” \nTotal distance: 12 miles \nAll followed by a BYOB BBQ at The Clubhous of Burgers. Dogs\, Chili\, Watermelon\, and Ice Cream\, \nFee for the swim and BBQ is $325. Water temperature is likely to be about 65 F. Escort kayaker is required for all legs. Fee for us to provide a kayaker is $300. If you have a kayaker but need to rent a kayak for the day\, fee is $65\, delivered to The Clubhous with paddle and two pfds. We provide an air horn and a marine radio. The swim will be supported by several motorboats on patrol. \nMale and female winners each receive a pound of Btault’s Beef Jerky\, a gallon of Couture’s Maple Syrup\, a clay rock from The Clubhous Beach and an engraved “Woodal.” Actually\, everyone who completes gets a rock and a Woodal. \nLimited to 20 swimmers. No wetsuits allowed in this one. We will conduct this swim even on a windy\, wavy\, rainy day. But\, in the event of “really\, really bad” weather\, we will hold the swim on Sunday\, July 7th\, 2024.

SUMMARY:In Search Of Memphre
DESCRIPTION: \nIn Search of Memphre is a 25-mile international swim on Lake Memphremagog between Newport\, Vermont and Magog\, Quebec. This amateur swim was started in 2011 on the tenth anniversary of 9/11\, in part to promote a more open border with our Canadian friends and to search for our elusive\, swimmer friendly\, lake creature\, Memphre. \nIt has expanded and evolved to include several three-day windows throughout June\, July\, August and September. Up to two swimmers are allowed in each window. \nAll swimmers must have swum at least 25 km in under 10 hours and 30 minutes\, unless special arrangements are made for slow but strong swimmers. They are also required to have at least three hours of nighttime\, open water swimming experience. \nWe offer one of two pontoon boats with pilots or a 16-foot motorized wooden dory with pilot for support. Swimmer is responsible for providing a crew member. We can find crew for an additional fee. Kayaks and kayakers are no longer used/ \nBase fee in 2024 is $2\,950 for boat and pilot with $500 deposit at time of registration. Remainder is due on March 1\, 2024. We can provide a crew member for an additional $500. \nWe establish three-day windows and pick the very best of the three. We leave from The EastSide Restaurant anytime between 12:01 am and 5:30 am on one of the three days. Swimmers and crew are REQUIRED to arrive in Newport by late afternoon two days before the first day of the window\, and not plan their return home until at least the day after the last day of the window.

SUMMARY:The Moose
DESCRIPTION:We gather at Mike’s Tiki Bar at 8 am with a start at 8:30 am. We head north up Route 114 through Island Pond to Bloomfield\, then up one of the most beautiful and serene stretches of the Connecticut River before heading back through Canaan\, Norton and Island Pond and on to East Burke. \nThe Moose offers miles and miles of wide open riding\, on some of the most “car hungry” roads in Vermont. This is not a sanctioned race. As a “timed event” you must stop at all stop signs and obey traffic lights. But\, hey\, there are only three stop signs in the entire 103 miles of riding. As for traffic lights – nadda\, niente. And yes\, you must yield to oncoming traffic at your left hand turns. But what’s this? There are only three of them in all 103 miles.
