SUMMARY:CHOROMONDO Annual Benefit Concerts
DESCRIPTION:Français ci-dessous\nChoromondo is a women’s choir of singers from Québec and Vermont which rehearses in Stanstead Québec. Directed by musician and visual artist Allyna Harris since it’s founding in 1999\, the choir has sung close to 400 songs in dozens of languages. Their concerts are lively and eclectic and supportive of peace and understanding through the sharing of diverse cultures.\nAn environmental theme was chosen this year with the goal of supporting a local environmental organization. However\, as most of the world now knows\, there are new restrictions imposed on Canadian access to our Haskell Free Library and Opera House\, this symbol of friendship and good neighbours between our two countries\, which stands on the border in both towns of Stanstead\, QC and Derby Line\, VT. As a result\, the choir decided to give the proceeds to the creation of green space around the new door on the Canadian side.\nSuggested donation $20 at the door or advance tickets available at the Haskell.\n***Basée à Stanstead\, Choromondo est une chorale composée de femmes issues du Québec et du Vermont. Pour plus d’informations ou pour nous contacter\, consultez notre page Facebook.\nChoromondo welcomes new members each September. For more information and contact\, visit our Facebook page.\n***Basée à Stanstead\, Choromondo est une chorale composée de femmes issues du Québec et du Vermont.
