Kingdom Swim
Kingdom Swim
Our Flagship Swim that started it all in 2009. Each year we host between 125 and 200 swimmers and an equal number of Yackers. This year’s swim is on July 26, 2025. Rain or Shine. With a Sunday option in the event of extremely high winds or thunderstorms on Saturday.
Kingdom Swim has repeatedly been listed among the top 100 swims in the world. Last year it was the WOWSA Silver Medal finisher as the best event in the world in 2023. Why we call her “The Little Swim That Roars!” It is a grand celebration, with a Buoy Dropping Party out on the lake on Thursday morning, Northern Star Boat Tours Thursday and Friday afternoons, a Memphremagog Costume Parade down Main Street on Friday evening, followed by a scrumptious Swimmer and Yacker Pasta Dinner at The EastSide Restaurant, along with inductions into Vermont’s Open Water Swimming Hall of Fame.
On Saturday morning, the 25 km Border Busters sneak off the beach at 5:30 am, with 10 milers leaving at 8 am, 10 km starting at 8:30 am, 5 km starting at 9 am with the 1-milers starting at 2 pm. All with lunch wagons, beer tent and steamed corn on the cob, following the swim. With awards of clay rocks, “woodals,” beef jerky, maple syrup and some hand carved walking sticks.
