There’s a lot going on at Jay Peak this summer surrounding the Grateful Dead. Frankly, there’s a lot of Grateful Deady stuff going on all over these days. Far from from a bandwagon thing, celebrating what the Dead have done for music and community is really what it’s all about. Especially the community part.
Now in its 19th year, August West has definitely grown in size a bit, but so has our community of supporters in the Jay Peak area. The August West Festival aims to highlight both the music and community aspects of the Grateful Dead. The blues, gritty rock, and long improvisational jams bring a little something for everyone, even if you just gotta poke around.
Spend the day enjoying life together – kids and well-mannered dogs are welcome. There’s lots of good food and drink, and plenty to do and dance to.
