wonderland. Enjoy festive shopping, live music from Tod Pronto, and the heartwarming
experience of writing letters to Santa at the Memphremagog Market. Don’t miss the chance to
take a magical drive through the light display at Gardner Park!
The festivities continue on Saturday, December 7th, with a tree lighting ceremony and a special
visit from Santa and his reindeer at Pomerleau Park from 4 to 5 PM. The NEK North Pole
Express is also taking reservations for a magical ride around town, complete with hot chocolate
and a reading of “The Polar Express” at the library.
The holiday cheer peaks on Saturday, December 14th, with another round of holiday shopping,
live music, and letter-writing to Santa. The NEK North Pole Express will once again be
enchanting young riders, so make sure to reserve your tickets in advance.
A Community Affair
Hometown Holidays is more than just a collection of events; it’s a celebration of the Newport
community. The event is organized by the Newport Daily Express in collaboration with Newport
Downtown Development and the Newport Parks and Recreation Department. They aim to
