Community

CCV-Newport is here for our Northeast Kingdom community! As the only higher education institution in Orleans and Essex counties, we take pride in helping rural Vermonters access postsecondary educational opportunities. CCV offers hundreds of courses each semester, with flexible formats and schedules, so that you can fit college into your busy life. The Newport site is located right on scenic Lake Memphremagog, and features six classrooms with stunning lake views! The local staff are all familiar with the NEK and assist over 250 locals on their educational journey each year. With local staff and local instructors, we’re here to help you succeed.

Affordability and Accessibility

CCV is Vermont’s second-largest college, serving thousands of Vermonters each year at 12 academic centers and through extensive online learning options. Our academic programs, as well as personalized advising, financial aid counseling, and a broad range of services and resources, are available to all students at CCV-Newport. CCV is the most affordable college in Vermont, with the lowest tuition in the state and generous scholarship opportunities. With the 802 Opportunity Grant, you could even be eligible to earn your associate degree for free! Our team is here to help you apply for and receive financial aid, and the majority of CCV students graduate debt-free.

Opportunity

CCV offers 12 degrees and 24 certificates in high-demand fields, designed to prepare you for the workforce or further education. Through partnerships with local businesses, schools, and organizations, you’ll have access to a wide variety of learning opportunities. For example, Vermont State University’s LPN and RN pathways have a remote classroom within CCV-Newport where students are able to complete their nursing degrees locally.
