Newport Now - When Competition Comes to Town: Employee Retention Strategies for Local Businesses

May 22, 2016

The second in the Newport Now series is scheduled for June 15. We look forward to having you join us for this event.

It takes time to find, hire and train new employees, which results in direct costs to your business. For a small business, loss of a key person can have a severe impact, and the cost to replace such an employee is increased because it is less likely that someone else will be able (even temporarily) to step into their shoes. In this workshop you will learn about methods to keep your best employees and identify short-term and long-term solutions to the challenge of new competition in a tight labor marketplace. Topics to be covered include: employee development and engagement, winning communications, management with impact, and "perks" and incentives.
